Your GuideBeam subscription gives you access to assessments, career matching, BeamBuddy, and more. Here's how to manage your subscription.
Viewing Your Current Plan
To see your subscription status:
- Click your profile icon in the top right
- Select Account Settings
- Navigate to Subscription or Billing
Here you'll see:
- Your current plan
- Billing cycle and next payment date
- Usage limits (if applicable)
Available Plans
Free Tier
Get started with basic features:
- Limited assessment access
- Basic career browsing
- Limited BeamBuddy conversations
Standard Plan
Full access to career guidance:
- All personality and interest assessments
- Complete Career Roadmap access
- Unlimited BeamBuddy conversations
- Save and compare careers
Premium Plan
Everything in Standard, plus:
- Priority practitioner booking
- Advanced career insights
- Extended conversation history
- Premium support
Upgrading Your Plan
How to Upgrade
- Go to Account Settings > Subscription
- Click Upgrade Plan
- Select your new plan
- Enter payment information
- Confirm the upgrade
Upgrades take effect immediately.
Proration
If you upgrade mid-billing cycle, you'll only pay the difference for the remaining days.
Downgrading Your Plan
How to Downgrade
- Go to Account Settings > Subscription
- Click Change Plan
- Select a lower tier
- Confirm the change
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
What Happens to Your Data
When downgrading:
- Assessment results are preserved
- Saved careers remain available
- Some features may become limited
- Conversation history may be reduced
Cancelling Your Subscription
How to Cancel
- Go to Account Settings > Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Complete the cancellation survey (helps us improve)
- Confirm cancellation
What Happens After Cancellation
- Access continues until the end of your billing period
- Your account remains active with free tier access
- Assessment data is preserved
- You can resubscribe anytime
Payment Methods
Accepted Payment
We accept:
- Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Debit cards
- Some regional payment methods
Updating Payment Method
- Go to Account Settings > Billing
- Click Update Payment Method
- Enter new card details
- Save changes
Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- We'll notify you via email
- Your card will be retried automatically
- Update your payment method to avoid service interruption
Billing History
Viewing Invoices
- Go to Account Settings > Billing
- Click Billing History
- Download invoices as PDF

- Payment method used

Can I get a refund? Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase. Contact support.
